Siobhan Fox
Siobhan is an avid north shore mountain biker who started riding in 2008 after her dad bought her a mountain bike. From the first moments on the trail, she knew she had found her passion. In 2012 Siobhan tried her hand at both downhill and enduro racing, finishing 8th out of nearly 80 women at the Hot on your Heels enduro in Squamish. In early 2013, Siobhan suffered a vertebral artery dissection and subsequent stroke. After undergoing such a life changing event, she decided to push herself both physically and mentally in a direction that was definitely out of her comfort zone. As a result, she has committed to racing the 2014 BC Bike Race. If you're lucky, you might see her getting prepped at a few other BC XC races in early 2014.
Off the bike, Siobhan is an ESL teacher.
Cheryl Moore (click for race resume)
Cheryl started racing downhill bikes in 2007 with very little riding experience under her belt. Her goal for the first season was to do every race on the BC Cup DH circuit and cross the finish line in one piece. Cheryl accomplished this goal, had a blast and met a community of amazing people. Her focus changed over the next few seasons; additional training and pushing herself outside of her comfort zone led to improved results. Unfortunately, Cheryl sustained a number of injuries during the 2012/2013 season that would set her back in downhill racing. Recovering from a partially torn rotator cuff, a lacerated eye injury and a broken clavicle have made her appreciate riding and racing even more. In 2014, Cheryl plans to get back into the BC Cup DH circuit and compete in local Enduro races, while focusing on improved training and staying injury-free.
When not riding her bike, Cheryl is an Engineering Technician with the City of Vancouver.

Veronika Voracek (click for race resume)
Veronika started out on a DH bike in Whistler Bike Park after seeing other girls in the sport and feeling super jealous. She just thought "I have to do that too!" She raced her first Crankworx event the following summer. In her third season she started racing a little more seriously and has only been progressing since then. She's expanded her horizons beyond downhill and dabbled in some dirt jumping and all-mountain riding. She tried her hand at some Enduro racing and would like to start focusing a bit more on this emerging discipline. She loves the mental and physical challenges of racing, the community of racers is second to none and she's made some of the greatest friends (ie Team Danger Pony) through various events. She wants to be an inspiration for other women getting into the sport and encourage more ladies of all ages to shred. For 2014, she is looking for a good balance of downhill racing and Enduro events, and feeling less like a fish out of water in the pro/elite categories!
